

These days it is getting more and more difficult for small businesses to get their message across to the competitive marketplace. This is where big brands hold the advantage over small businesses. Especially after the recent announcement of Google to give extra care for big brands, it will become more and more difficult for small businesses to promote their products on Google through Internet Marketing.
So how will small companies compete with the big brands?? Google might have said they will be giving extra care to big brands but to be honest I haven’t really seen any changes in digital media where there has been a situation where big brands have been given extra care by Google. I still believe small businesses can compete with the big boys by the help of Google’s very own pay per click toy called Adwords. This gives an opportunity for small companies who are in competitive businesses such as promotional products, cars, insurance, gambling and many more.
There are many ways in which a company can look to promote their services and products. I will put it in two categories one category is through Offline Marketing and another is through Online Marketing.
Online Marketing covers Websites, Search Engine Optimisation and Pay per click campaigns, Email Marketing and Article Marketing. Offline Marketing covers radio and TV adverts, magazine adverts, newspapers adverts, leaflet advertising, promotional pencils, key rings, t-shirts and mugs. Nowadays hitting the Online Marketing there is one more way of promoting your products and services which is through Social Media. Social Media tools such as Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, Digg, StumbleUpon, Delicious and many more has helped big brands to create their own followings. How they work this is – create social media profiles then somehow get many people to follow your profile so that they can read your current promotion of your services or products. Social Media is performing really well and millions of people are using it so sooner the businesses get into it the better for them.
Businesses that develop {promotional products and~Companies that produces promotional products and~Industries that produces promotional clothing and} personalised gifts, Social Media campaign is a great marketing opportunity for them because you can target both individuals and businesses at once.
