By placing your posts on the board, and reading other college students in your group’s posts, you can contribute in a group project as effectively as if the group was meeting in real life. You can build a group virtual bulletin board if a few college students in a group, or class, is online at the same time. This is another extremely effective way to do group work.

Invest the time to engage with your fellow peers at college or course online forums; take the time to determine if you can work with 1 or 2 or more other college students as you pursue your online degree. Though

you are meeting electronically, and not face to face, the value of the support you may receive from distance students working towards the same online degree as you are will be useful.
